DIRECTIONS

Directions to Shades Crest Baptist Church from I-65 (from Huntsville) or I-65 (from Montgomery) 

• Exit I-65 at Exit 254, Alford Avenue, (south of downtown Birmingham) turn right (from 

   Huntsville) left (from Montgomery) onto Alford Avenue and continue.

• Turn left on Valley Street and continue to Park Avenue.  

• Turn left onto Park Avenue, and continue ¾ mile to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the right.

Directions to Shades Crest Baptist Church from I-59 (from Chattanooga) 

• Take I-59 south to Birmingham until you come to I-65.  

• Exit south on I-65, and continue for several miles.

• Exit I-65 at Exit 254 onto Alford Avenue, (south of downtown Birmingham) turn right and

  continue.

• Turn left on Valley Street and continue to Park Avenue.  

• Turn left onto Park Avenue, and continue ¾ mile to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the right.

Directions from I-20 (from Atlanta)  

• Take I-20 West.  

• When you arrive at the I-459/I-20/I-59 Split, take I-459 West.  

• Continue on I-459 West toward Hoover to I-65 North toward Birmingham.  

• Exit I-65 at Exit 254 onto Alford Avenue, (south of downtown Birmingham) turn left and continue.

• Turn left on Valley Street and continue to Park Avenue.  

• Turn left onto Park Avenue, and continue ¾ mile to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the right.

Directions from I-59/I-20 (from Tuscaloosa) 

• Take I-59 N/I-20 East toward Birmingham (approx. 35 miles).  

• Merge onto I-459 N via exit number 106 toward GADSDEN/ATLANTA. 

• Continue about 10 miles, then take the AL-150 exit (exit number 10) toward HOOVER/BESSEMER. 

• Turn left at the second traffic light onto Stadium Trace Parkway. 

• Stay straight onto Preserve Parkway passing the Target shopping Center on your left. 

• Continue on Preserve Parkway for approx. 1 mile. 

• At the next light, turn left onto Sulphur Springs Rd, and continue on Sulphur Springs Rd. for about 200

   yards. 

• At the light, turn right onto Shades Crest Rd, and continue about four miles, to Park Avenue.

• Turn right onto Park Avenue, and continue ¾ mile to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the

   right.

Directions from Highway 280 

• Take I-459 West toward Hoover to I-65 North towards Birmingham.

• Exit I-65 at Exit 254 onto Alford Avenue (south of downtown Birmingham) turn left and continue.

• Turn left on Valley Street and continue to Park Avenue.  

• Turn left onto Park Avenue, and continue ¾ mile to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the right.

Directions from Highway 31(from Vestavia Hills) or from Highway 31(from Galleria)

• Turn right onto Patton Chapel Road (from Vestavia Hills) left (from Galleria)

• Continue four miles to the traffic light at Park Avenue and turn right.

• Continue approximately .5 miles to Shades Crest Baptist Church, located on the left.

Directions from Highway 150 (Bessemer)   

• Turn left onto Stadium Trace Parkway.

• Continue approximately one mile straight on Stadium Trace passing the Grove Shopping Center on the

   left. Stadium Trace Parkway becomes Preserve Parkway.

• Turn left at traffic light onto Sulphur Springs Road (Prince of Peace Catholic Church is on the right) and

   continue about 200 yards. 

• At the next traffic light, turn right onto Shades Crest Road and continue about four miles to Park

   Avenue.

• Turn right onto Park Avenue and continue .75 miles to Shades Crest Baptist Church on the right.
