We have the opportunity to live out our love for God and our Savior Jesus Christ through the sacrificial giving and sharing of blessings with others. With joy and spirit, open your heart to the call of stewardship. We know that God desires us to be a generous people, giving cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7); investing in the Kingdom (Luke 12:33); pleasing God (Phil. 4:15-19); sharing with others (Acts 2:44-47); acknowledging God’s power through Creation (Deut. 8:17-18) and bring praise to Him (2 Cor. 9:11).
Giving of our financial resources serves many purposes. It helps ground our faith and trust in God, supports the ministries of His church at Shades Crest and enables our congregation to fulfill the mission of spreading His Word and making disciples throughout creation. Please take time to converse with God about how He is leading you and your family to be good stewards of the gifts you have been given. We look forward to watching our Investment in the Kingdom grow in 2013!

How to fill out your 2013 Commitment Card
Step 1: Prayerfully consider the commitment God would have you to make toward Shades Crest’s
Ministry Budget for 2013.
Step 2: Estimate the amount you expect to give each week, each month or throughout the year and
provide in the appropriate space. You need not enter an amount on each line.
Step 3: Indicate the preference of gifts provided to Cooperative Baptist programs. Please check only one option.
Step 4: Indicate whether or not you would like to receive information and be contacted on how to arrange an end of life gift to Shades Crest Baptist Church or through the Charter Fund.
If you have any questions regarding this form, the 2013 Ministry Budget or other items, please contact any Pastor for information. Please know that the names and amounts provided on this card are not shared with anyone except the Business Manager for purposes of recording the commitments.
The 2013 Commitment Cards will be presented to God’s Church during the Sunday morning service on February 3rd. If you are unable to attend, please deliver the card to the Business Manager’s office. Additional cards are available in the church office or on the website.

In order to provide the safest and most secure way to register for automatic giving, please contact your local bank for directions on how you can have a check issued to Shades Crest Baptist Church on a regular basis. You will be able to choose how often you would like to give, as well as designating where your gift should be applied (ie. Ministry budget, Found Faithful or Missions).This service from your bank is free and does not cost the church to process. Should you have questions on how to set up “bill pay” through your local bank, please call the Business Manager, Laura Strange.
