What to Expect

Welcome to Shades Crest Baptist Church!

Shades Crest Baptist is a caring congregation that welcomes anyone and everyone. We want you to discover the joy that we have discovered when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you are planning to visit on a Sunday morning, here are some tips to help you find your way around and know what to expect.

Parking

Reserved Guest Parking is available in the front along the length of the facility.

Bible Study

Sunday mornings, you will be greeted by a smiling face when you enter our building. These greeters can direct you and your family to classes appropriate for ages and stages of life.

Worship

After Bible Study, our morning worship begins at 10:30 in the sanctuary. Our members will be happy to help guide you there. As you enter the sanctuary, you will receive an order of worship. The service usually begins with an instrumental prelude when you can prepare your heart for worship. Near the beginning of the service, you will be welcomed by one of our ministers, but not singled out in any way. Please give us the opportunity to know you better by filling out the guest information on the Worship Guide and placing it in the offering plate. Following worship, our pastors will be at the exit doors to greet you personally.

Sunday Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. incorporates a variety of congregational and choral material, but leans toward time-honored and contemporary hymnody. Our sanctuary is a wonderfully resonant room that encourages strong congregational singing.
