Thirsty for God
A new project of the Worship and Music Ministry is underway—the “Thirsty for God” podcast. The target
audience isn’t only those involved in our ministry. It’s meant for EVERYONE. The intention of the first
season of the podcast is to offer it as a valuable resource for reflection during the upcoming Lenten
season. The title comes from the words of Psalm 42:1-2: “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my
soul pants for You, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God…” The purpose is that of providing a
framework that can help those who want to be drawn closer to God. With the help of Brenda Odom on
the piano, weekly episodes will be available for everyone who has the desire to become more aware of
God’s presence in their lives, listen to and reflect on God’s word, and grow in their relationship with God.
The first episode for Ash Wednesday can be accessed this week.

Place and time for quiet time
If you have a specific place and time for your quiet time, it’s wonderful! You can use the podcast then.
But if you want to reflect and pray while you are traveling to/from work, study, or other activities, it’s
perfectly fine to use the it during those moments as well. Each episode won’t be longer than 15 minutes.

How to access the podcast
You can listen to the episodes in one of the following apps: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music or
Stitcher If you choose to listen to the podcast—and I hope you will—let me encourage you to click on the
