Thank you for visiting the Shades Crest Baptist Church Student Ministries page. We are a community of faith formed in Christ for the glory of God and the sake of others. We gather together because of Christ and in all we do we want to bring him glory so we can make a difference in the lives of others as we go. May you be open and eager to be led by God, through His son Jesus Christ. May you know His presence and His voice as you journey through life.

We seek to minister not just with and to students, but also to families, volunteers who work with students, our community, and the world. Shades Crest believes in the importance of being a part of the church and not separate from the adults. We are an intergenerational church. We take this seriously and yet know that we will have fun as we go through life’s journey together.

Look around the site and find out more about how you can be involved in what God is doing at Shades Crest and through this ministry.

Ephesians 5:1 “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children.”

S.A.L.T.

S.A.L.T. is a committee of students (7th-12th grade) and adults. S.A.L.T. evaluates the Student Ministry events and programs and takes responsibility for activities. Each grade has a representative of their peers on this committee, along with the student minister and advisory committee. Students seek to share not only their view of things, but also the opinions of their peers. This committee is the pulse of our youth group. We will meet 6 times during the year. It is a commitment for each person to be present at the meetings and to find a sub if they must miss. S.A.L.T. members need to encourage other students to grow in their faith by participating with other students in Bible study, worship, fellowship, and ministry.
