The “Thirsty for God” podcast is a new project offered by Shades Crest’s Worship and Music Ministry. The target audience isn’t only those involved in this ministry. It’s meant for EVERYONE. The intention of the first season of the podcast is to offer a valuable resource for reflection during the season of Lent.
The title comes from the words of Psalm 42:1-2: “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God…” The purpose is that of providing a framework that can help those who want to be drawn closer to God. With the help of Brenda Odom on the piano, weekly episodes led by our Worship and Music Pastor Hiram Rollo will be available for everyone who has the desire to become more aware of God’s presence in their lives, listen to and reflect on God’s word, and grow in their relationship with God.
If you have a specific place and time for your quiet time, it’s wonderful! You can use the podcast then. But if you want to reflect and pray while you are traveling to/from work, study, or other activities, it’s perfectly fine to use it during those moments as well. Each episode will be around 13-15 minutes long.
