The Shades Crest Music Ministry is a dynamic, vibrant place to develop and
share your musical gifts to impact God’s Kingdom.

Worship Services

This is an exciting time in the life of our church. We are currently offering two Sunday morning worship services, Rising & Majestic.

RISING — 9 AM in the Fellowship Hall
This modern worship experience, with a band and praise team, focuses on connecting people with the living God and honoring the name of Jesus. In a more informal and highly participatory atmosphere, new songs and revamped hymns are explored in this time of worship as well as the study of God’s word.

MAJESTIC — 11 AM in the Sanctuary
In the context of a long-established setting, this conventional type of service follows a printed order of worship with a specific theme of the day in mind. With piano and organ, and the musical leadership of the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, this worship gathering primarily incorporates musical expressions of the hymnody of the Christian Church followed by biblical preaching.

Music Groups

Choirs and ensembles for every age rehearse weekly. There is a place for you to give expression to your musical gifts to the glory of God.

Preschool/Children’s Choirs

Almost 100 children (TWOS through Grade 6) participate each year in our Wednesday evening choir program. Additionally, grade school children may choose to participate in Handbells or Handchime groups. Why should children participate? Because they will sing/ring praises to God and learn musical concepts with fun, engaging games and activities which have been specifically tailored according to age group.
