Pastor Search Committee Nominations

The Nominating Committee, in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of Shades Crest Baptist Church, is currently in the early stages of forming a Pastor Search Committee for our church family, and is seeking input from church members on that process.

Church members are being asked to prayerfully consider the names of up to nine people who you have prayed over and will represent the church well and bring a spirit of unity.  To submit your nominations now, please click the link below. You may also find a paper nomination form and submit your nominations in print at locations throughout the church campus. There is also a list of frequently asked questions that you may review, which can be found at the bottom of this page. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, August 13.

A Pastor Search committee shall be formed, consisting of nine voting members from young adults, middle adults, and senior adults (a male and female from each age group), plus three at-large members. Members shall be proposed by the Nominating Committee with input from the congregation and elected by the church. If for any reason, one or more of the members cannot complete their tenure, the committee can continue with a minimum of seven members. However, if the committee drops below seven members, the Nominating Committee will choose other at-large members to be elected by the church and bring the total to seven members.
