Student Ministry

The mission of the student ministry at SCBC is to encourage students and their families to know and follow Jesus Christ, glorify God with their lives, and invite others to do the same.

Connect Groups

Connect Groups, from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m., are Bible study groups—and so much more! In Connect Groups we encourage students to connect with God, study scripture, and connect with their faith community, and those beyond. Students in 7^th – 11^th grades meet in groups with guys or girls only, and 12^th graders meet together.

Cross†raining

“You are not here by accident” is the theme for our mid-week Bible study and worship time at 5:45 – 6:55 p.m. Students are divided by grade and the guys and girls meet together. Adults lead the students in small groups before everyone joins together for worship or a learning activity.
Music during the worship experience is led by students in the CROSS†RAINING band.
Dinner is available in the youth room for students at 5:15 p.m. for $6.

D Groups

Discipleship Groups meet at The Grove, Chick-fil-A at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings during the school year. Discipleship Groups are designed for high school students, and guys and girls meet separately, each with an adult leader. Students are responsible for securing transportation to school.
